What to look out for when resizing your ring.

A practical checklist so you don't get caught out.

How much resizing is safe ⬇️

Each ring is different but you can usually safely size up or down 1-2 sizes.

Beyond that, the structure can weaken or look distorted including the mount.

Going larger usually means adding metal; going smaller means cutting it out.

A resize on a stone set ring requires, settings to be checked & sometimes claws tightened.

Lastly, white gold often needs re-rhodium plating if it is worked on because the rhodium finish will wear giving you an uneven surface tone.

A solid piece of metal at first glance. The lathe begins to spin, tools meet the surface. A precise cut is made & shaping begins. It is a thousand controlled movements, tiny adjustments, and guided carefully by hand. The rough becomes refined, the raw becomes polished, and a ring emerged.

Not mass produced, carrying the marks of the process that brought it to life.
